● About

Why Wink?

At Wink, grooming isn’t just a service — it’s an experience built on trust, calm, and creativity. Named Best of the Bay 2025, we’ve reimagined what a dog salon can be: cage-free, stress-free, and full of heart. With limited dogs in the salon at a time, every pup gets the gentle, personalized care they deserve — and a chance to strut out feeling confident, comfortable, and unmistakably themselves.

● Our Story

Meet the team

Three women standing inside a dog salon called Wink Dog Salon. One woman is holding a small dog, and they are all smiling. The salon has grooming equipment, bottles, and a grooming table.

We’re more than a salon — we’re a small, passionate crew obsessed with happy dogs and good vibes.

Emily – Founder & Groomer
The heart (and hands) behind Wink. Emily built this salon to give dogs a calmer, kinder grooming experience — one built on trust, empathy, and a little creative flair. Whether she’s styling a bold color or helping a nervous pup relax, Emily’s goal is always the same: a wagging tail and a peaceful heart.

Miranda – Groomer
Gentle, patient, and precise — Miranda has a gift for making every dog feel comfortable while bringing out their best look. She’s known for her calm energy, eye for detail, and the way dogs seem to fall instantly in love with her.

Monea – Bather
The first stop in every pup’s glow-up. Monea brings warmth, humor, and care to every bath, turning a simple rinse into a full-on spa moment. Her easygoing energy sets the tone for Wink’s signature low-stress experience.

Together, we’re a team that believes grooming should feel good — for the dogs and the humans who love them.

● Our Mission & Philosophy

Our Principles

● Calm Over Chaos

We believe grooming should be peaceful, never rushed. Every dog deserves a relaxed, cage-free environment where they can feel safe and seen.

● Connection Over Volume

We focus on one-on-one attention — fewer dogs, more love. Because quality care happens when we actually get to know each pup.

● Creativity With Care

From color-dyed coats to unique styles, we celebrate self-expression — always with the comfort and well-being of each dog as our top priority.

● Respect Every Pup

Every dog is different — and that’s the best part. We tailor our approach to match each personality, need, and comfort zone.

A message and promise from the owner

Opening up Wink has allowed me to create a safe space for your pups. My mission is for my clients, two-legged or four (or 3 if that’s what we’re strutting), to feel excited about their visit. Communication and our dog’s comfort + safety are my #1 priorities while your pups are in our hands.

Every dog deserves to get pampered. High anxiety or fearful pups will always be booked according to their specific needs and this is why I love being a business owner.

    FOUNDER & GROOMER

I quite literally am obsessed with dogs. tiny babes to extra large and everything between. Every dog has their own thing, their own personality and their own quirks. I love being a part of expressing these unique qualities and having that shine through a haircut or style.

I create a special bond with every dog that comes though my door. I am not just their groomer, I am their friend and to be able to create a fun and special grooming environment for them means everything to me.

    GROOMER

I love dog grooming because it allows me to be creative while also making a positive impact on a dog’s comfort and health. As an animal lover, I love getting to meet all different types of breeds and that everyday brings something new.

My favorite breed is shih-tzu’s because they look like Ewoks (I love Star Wars). I also love pit bulls because I grew up with them.

  • A woman in a black hair cover and beige grooming shirt is giving a bath to a curly-haired dog in a stainless steel grooming tub, smiling warmly.

    BATHER

I enjoy working with dogs because it feels great going home at the end of the day knowing I get to help animals. It’s a very rewarding job.

My favorite breed is a pug. I wish we had more, bring me all your pugs! But I love working with our golden retriever clients.
